Why Your HVAC Contractor’s ACCA Membership Should Matter to You

Why Your HVAC Contractor's ACCA Membership Should Matter to YouIf you are looking for a new HVAC system for your Fresno area home, or just looking to have some maintenance done, it’s important to make sure that your contractor is knowledgeable and will work to ensure that you’re getting the best value for your dollar. ACCA membership is a good indicator that your contractor is capable of helping your home be as efficient as possible.

The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) is a group of professional HVAC contractors that provides training for member contractors. This training includes continuing education on the latest updates to the building and mechanical codes relevant to installing HVAC systems, and on efficiency methods. They also help write the standards for the industry.

HVAC systems are not inexpensive purchases, so it makes sense to take care of your investment. Having a properly trained installer is a good way to do that. Improperly installed systems can cause problems ranging from inefficiencies that will nickel and dime your household budget to major breakdowns.

A qualified installer will make sure that you have the appropriate size system for your needs, because this is one situation where it’s definitely not about simply getting the biggest system.  ACCA membership is a good sign that you have a qualified installer for your HVAC system.
